The Fête du Chrono is the major annual event combining sport, commerce and celebration in Les Herbiers, in Vendée Bocage! This festival takes place every year, around October 15.
From Friday October 13 to Monday October 16, 2023, the town of Les Herbiers soaks up the festive and sporting atmosphere around the event “Le Chrono des Nations”, a cycling race against the clock.

History of Chrono
- En 1982, takes place the birth of the “Chrono of the Herbaria ” by Christian Tessier and the organization team.
- En 1984, the idea was to create a “SPORT – PARTY – COMMERCE” alliance. Thus was born the 1st “Chrono Fair ” with 7 exhibitors from Herbret.
- Growing success, the year 1985 knew the creation of the Organizing Committee of the Chrono Festival.
- En 2006, The Chrono of the Herbaria becomes the Chrono of Nations after the stoppage of the GP des Nations by ASO.
- Today, the Chrono des Nations association is chaired by Thierry Adam (since 2019). It has nearly 600 volunteers.

41th edition – year 2023
This year, the Parc des Expositions in the town of Les Herbiers is hosting the Chrono fair over 4 days. It is open free of charge and will welcome nearly 200 exhibitors on more than 17m000. It is one of the largest fairs in Vendée with car exhibitors, verandas, houses, etc.
You will also find the agricultural fair, with its 180 Blondes d'Aquitaine. Various activities are to be found throughout the weekend, such as a sporting logging event (new for 2022 – led by the Woodcutters of Oisans). The local farmers market will take place on Saturday and Sunday. A music group will also be present with a bike ride through the fair.
From 14 p.m. on Sunday October 15, 2023, numerous activities are planned all afternoon:

- Hiking – Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 14:30 p.m., Salle des Marronniers: three walking routes of 6, 9 and 12 km. Registration on site: €2.
- The chrono cycle hike (Walter Beneteau hike) – Saturday October 14, 2023 from 8:30 a.m., Salle des Lavoirs, rue des Bains douches: 3 cycling routes are offered to you of 51, 83 and 113 km. GPX track available upon registration. New for 2023: GRAVEL / 57 km – free departure from 8 a.m. without marking, only GPX tracking.
- The Disability solidarity hike – Friday October 13, 2023 from 17 p.m., Place de la Gare: The Mélusine Sport Adaptée association, accompanied by members of the housing center, takes part in a cycling tour, each at their own level and abilities.
- Playground – from Friday October 13 to Monday October 16, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. This year, the Chrono is innovating by offering visitors a sports and leisure area of 5000 m2. You will find there: a zip line, inflatable structures, trampolines, pony rides, women's and partner football tournaments, youth activities, as well as cycling initiations.
