The Tourism and Handicap label

In Vendée, the Tourism and Handicap label is carried by Vendée Tourisme and makes it possible to recognize, thanks to the pictograms, the places adapted according to the handicap of the people. Le Bocage Vendéen is part of this approach toaccessibility of its territory.

The “Tourism and Handicap” label makes it possible to enhance and highlight the structures fitted out to accommodate people with disabilities. Accommodation, restaurants, leisure activities are adapting their structure to meet the criteria of the 4 disabilities: motor, mental, auditory and visual. Welcoming people with disabilities allows tourist structures to open up to new customers who wish to travel.

Accessibility to Puy du Fou

Puy du Fou offers the rental of manual wheelchairs (€10 per day) and electric scooters (€26,5 per day). Guide dogs are welcome at Puy du Fou. A car park near the entrances is accessible to people with reduced mobility, only on presentation of the disability card. To facilitate your travels within the Puy du Fou and between the different shows, a train (La Colporteuse) is at your disposal.

Focus on the Morlière leisure area in Sigournais

The Lac de Rochereau is the largest reserve of drinking water in the Grand Lay Valley, the Morlière leisure area in Sigournais has been fitted out with a children's play area with zip line, fitness trail for the family, a 9km hiking trail.

Paths with picnic tables and benches have been set up to allow people with reduced mobility to enjoy the site, labeled Tourism and Handicap.
