The Poupet Festival in Vendée welcomes TOTO for the first time in the intimacy of the Théâtre de Verdure on July 10 for a unique date in the west. 4000 lucky people will be able to come and discover or rediscover the group's legendary hits like Rosanna, Hold the line ou Africa (more than 1 billion plays on Spotify!). They are a part of pop culture and one of the few 70s bands to have survived changing trends and styles while remaining relevant. With over 40 million albums sold and a career spanning over 45 years, the band's members continue to perpetuate the original legacy of rock and pop.

- Concerts and shows are maintained in case of bad weather. Plan your rain gear! Umbrellas are prohibited on site.
- Animals are not allowed inside the Festival, except for guide dogs.
- A restaurant area and a bar area are provided on site.
- There are no shuttles to access the Festival de Poupet, consider carpooling!

Behind the scenes, there is excitement a few months before the opening, because behind the beautiful summer evenings are actually hiding 750 volunteers, led by the various managers, who work on several dates each year in the various departments, enormous for a municipality. of 1600 inhabitants, right?
From catering to VIP reception and car parks, 250 people are mobilized every evening: the objective is to maintain the same state of mind.
Fan of the festival and curious about its organization, I went to question Thomas, programmer and general manager of the festival:
Thomas, how do you explain the longevity of the Festival?
“It all started with a village fete in 1987, and today the festival is one of the most renowned in the West. This is obviously due to the commitment of volunteers who are always enthusiastic about the idea of lending a hand on concert evenings. The goal is to be serious, without taking yourself seriously. We try to get as close as possible to the expectations of festival-goers”
How do you see the future of the Festival?
“Today, a whole team of young people formerly called “the next generation” is an integral part of the festival's organizing team, which makes it easier to project oneself. The objective is to continue on the same path with the same state of mind and a varied and surprising program!”
