No official text defines the notion of group accommodation: it can be compared to large capacity furnished tourist accommodation. The group lodge is accommodation designed to accommodate groups and families of 12 to 100 people for a weekend or a week, schools for green and discovery classes, groups for a seminar, a sports course.

If the threshold of 15 people is exceeded, the furnished accommodation is subject to ERP (Public Establishment) regulations.

  • The stopover lodge is a type of accommodation designed to accommodate hikers, cycle tourists or horse riders. In principle, stopover lodges are located on a recognized hiking route (GR, FFRP, etc.) or are located less than 2 km from these routes and favor overnight accommodation.
  • The holiday cottage is a type of accommodation designed to accommodate groups or families for a stay of a weekend, a week or more.

The stopover and stay gîtes are equipped with living spaces, sleeping in a room or dormitory with comfortable bedding (sheets can sometimes be provided), collective or private toilets. Depending on the option chosen, you can use a “self-managed” equipped kitchen or take advantage of the catering offered by the owner (meals, packed lunch, etc.).
