A new scenography
The Manoir des Sciences had a facelift in 2017. It invites you to enter several worlds: the Age of Enlightenment, the reading room, the natural history cabinet, the sensory garden... Many spaces where you are actors in the visit !

The garden is a real place of experience with educational composting, the glazed hive which allows close observation of the bees without any risk or the 7 chests containing treasures of curiosities. What a way to spend a family day in the heart of nature!
The children's mansion
The adventure of science is lived in an exciting treasure hunt as part of the Intrepid Club. Try to open the 7 chests in the garden and nature will open up to you. Keep your eyes and mind open! In addition, “Become Savant” activities take place every Wednesday during school holidays from 15 to 17 p.m.: scientific, creative and varied workshops. On reservation, price: 5€ / child.
Celebrate your birthday at the Manor! On the program, a workshop as well as a snack to share with your friends in an original setting. By reservation from 14:30 p.m. to 17 p.m. – price €7/child


Rene Antoine Ferchault de Reaumur
Physicist and naturalist, this French scientist will join the Academy of Sciences in 1708. He is the inventor of the alcohol thermometer.
A scientist at the service of the Academy of Sciences
Member of the Academy of Sciences from the age of 25, he was appointed its Director several times. He is responsible for editing the Description des Arts et Métiers. He makes observations on materials such as slate, gold, iron or steel… A specialist in animal behavior, he also publishes his Memoirs to serve the history of insects and joins the Royal Academy of Sciences and letters from Berlin.
The Manor of Reaumur
Labeled by the Ministry of Culture “House of the illustrious », in memory of Réaumur, the Manor is the residence in which René-Antoine Ferchault de Réaumur liked to recharge his batteries to carry out his outdoor observations and naturalist experiments.
The alcohol thermometer
Of all his work, the invention of the alcohol thermometer will remain the most significant. Created in 1731, the Réaumur scale served as a reference for more than 60 years, until the appearance of the Celsius scale.
