Located in the heart of a sensitive natural area, the City of Birds is a bird sanctuary of 56 hectares, distributed around 2 ponds.
This departmental reserve is located in the Landes Génusson, on a major migratory axis where on certain days, more than 2000 birds gather there.
The discovery center
At the heart of unusual animal migrations, the discovery center offers a route in 5 stopovers around the world, thanks to dynamic and original exhibitions including photos and surprising videos.
Reserve
From the observatory, the belvedere at the edge of the pond or even along the tree-lined paths, the reserve offers a privileged meeting place with nature to observe birds, without being seen. Some days, nearly 2000 birds are present on the 2 ponds.

An animated site
A outdoor photography exhibition “The birds of the ponds” by Louis-Marie Préau, can be seen around the ponds. 24 large-format photos, taken over a year at the Cité des Oiseaux, bear witness to the intimate life of the Cité's ponds. Free access.
Workshops are organized during school holidays on Tuesdays and Thursdays to discover nature as a family.
