LES MOULINS DES BOIS

Located on the ridge overlooking the "Bois de la Cour" and the "Bois du Mignon" on the edge of the communes of Saint Martin des Noyers and Sainte Cécile, the 5 Moulins des Bois dominate the Petit Lay valley. From this place, the gaze embraces, in good weather, the Mont des Alouettes and the Bois de la Folie in Pouzauges. During the Vendée wars, the wings of the mills were used to send signals to the Vendée armies. An orientation table is installed allowing to discover the bocage.
