Un Book Fair it is an opportunity for readers and professionals to meet and discuss books. With around thirty book events in Pays de la Loire, the Spring of Montaigu's book in Vendée stands out for its friendly literary atmosphere.

First literary event in Pays de la Loire, firmly established in the territory of Vendée, the Printemps du Livre de Montaigu is one of the most popular literary events in France. Created in 1989, the Book Fair de Montaigu will celebrate its 35nd edition of the show in 2025, rendez-vous from 28 at 30 March 2025.

Every year, the public rushes in large numbers to discover 200 writers invited to book signings, meetings and scheduled events in the city. A resolutely popular event, the Spring of the Book of Montaigu offers quality literary programming and gives an important place to children's literature and comics.

In 2025, it's Bernard minier, who will honor the Printemps du livre by assuming the presidency.

Bernard Minier, known for his captivating thrillers and thrilling plots, has established himself for several years as one of the major voices of the French crime novel. 2024 Edition

The Montaigu Book Fair in Vendée from April 19 to 21, 2024

In 2024, she is the successful novelist Agnes Martin-Lugand, who will honor the Printemps du livre by assuming the presidency.

  • Authors' booths – meetings and signings. Capital, place of the Hôtel-de-Ville. From Friday to Sunday.
  • Big meetings. Major interviews with guest personalities or literary dialogues around themes, led by moderators. Village Hall and House of Associations.
  • Literary stops. Meetings of writers around their literary news.
  • Exhibition “Michel Ragon, from Vendée to writing”. From April 19 to May 19 at the Montaigu-Vendée Town Hall.
  • “Antoine Guilloppé” exhibition. Flash tours of the exhibition led by book mediators (30 min) on Friday April 19 at 16 p.m., Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21 at 14 p.m. and 16 p.m. Saturday April 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.: meeting/workshop with the illustrator around his work.

  • Family treasure hunt “The secret of the tree”. Like adventurers, participants explore the festival in search of a legendary tree.
