The Chapel of Our Lady of Lorette

Start your walk in the Flocellière towards the Chapelle de Lorette:

  • The church of the former Carmelite convent : founded around 1640 and restored around 1870 after destruction during the Revolution. It remains from the XNUMXth century, only the portal as well as the first stone of the convent. The stained glass windows and the altarpiece are from the XNUMXth century.
  • The “Santa Casa” (Holy House) : listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments. The Holy House is the faithful replica of the Santa Casa de Loreto in Italy, erected in 1873.

The gardens of the Convent of the Carmelites

Former convent garden behind the chapel of Lorette, inspired by French gardens, it is meticulously maintained by its owner. Vegetable or ornamental varieties, it is a real green setting in the middle of the old walls in the heart of the historic square.

The gardens of the Château de la Flocellière

Surrounding the old medieval castle and its keep, this park is a total mix where styles and eras overlap and intertwine like one of the towers where: arrow slits from the XNUMXth century, grenade chutes from the XNUMXth century and tall XNUMXth century windows. You will be able to distinguish: the garden terrace planted with yews, the medieval garden, the bocage park, the romantic park and the Italian garden.
